Attorney Jon L. Schoenhorn grew up and attended high school in Fairfield, Connecticut. He is a 1976 graduate of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio where he received a B.A. in Political Science; and a 1982 graduate (with honors) of the University of Connecticut School of Law in Hartford, Connecticut.

A recipient of a William F. Starr Scholarship and the 1982 Judge David E. Bazelon Award for Civil Rights, Attorney Schoenhorn has represented thousands of individuals and businesses with legal problems. He is a Life Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, and formerly served as an administrative hearing officer for the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. In 2006, he was appointed to the Connecticut Legislative Task Force for Sentencing Reform.
Attorney Schoenhorn is a former president of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and served for many years as an elected member of the Association's Executive Board.

Attorney Schoenhorn is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as both a criminal trial specialist and civil trial specialist, demonstraing proficiency and expertise in these areas of the law. Only a handful of attorneys in the nation have achieved dual certification in these areas.
