Attorney Szerejko devotes his practice to the representation of governmental entities and public officials, primarily in the context of litigation. He has substantial experience in litigating civil rights lawsuits filed against police officers, two of which have gone to the United States Supreme Court. His government experience includes serving in the Legislative Commissioner's Office for the Connecticut General Assembly in the 1977 Legislative Session, as well as serving as Deputy Counsel for the Senate Majority in the Connecticut General Assembly in the 1978-1979 Legislative Sessions.

Mr. Szerejko has served as a member of the Connecticut Medical Examining Board from 1979-1983 and as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Hartford from 1980-1985. While in that office, he served as counsel to the Hartford Redevelopment Agency from 1980-1984.

He served as President of the Hartford County Bar Association from 1997-1998 and is certified as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Szerejko was also a member of the Connecticut State Board of Education from 1979-1989 and served as its Vice Chairman from 1982-1989. He was Chairman of the Connecticut Criminal Justice Commission from 1989-1991 and also served as a member of the City of Hartford's Charter Revision Commission in 1992.

Mr. Szerejko has been a member of the Federal Grievance Committee for the District Court of Connecticut and was recently elected to emeritus status in the Oliver Ellsworth Chapter of the American Inns of Court, having served as a master for five years.

Beyond his service to the bar, Mr. Szerejko has been involved in a number of community organizations throughout the years, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Renewal Team of Greater Hartford, and presently as a member of the Board of Directors of the Metro Hartford Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Hartford Legal Aid Foundation.
