Dana R. Bucin is an associate in the firm’s Hartford and Middletown offices and she focuses her practice in the areas of Commercial Lending & Banking, General Corporate Counsel, Immigration, International Business Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Venture Capital & Private Equity.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bucin has accumulated experience in immigration law and international business matters. She worked as an Intern for Local Development at an international port facility in Venezuela and as an Export Assistant for a Romanian manufacturer and exporter of garden furniture.
Ms. Bucin is fluent in Spanish, French, and Romanian, and has a basic knowledge of Italian, German, Hungarian and Latin. Ms. Bucin has represented both business and individual clients with their green card applications, H-1B visas, foreign investor visas, naturalization, religious worker visas, as well as various other employment- and family-based immigration matters.
Ms. Bucin has been listed as a 2011 Rising Star by the SuperLawyers Magazine, a designation reserved to 2.5% of the attorneys in each state. She was listed among the 2010 Women in the Law High Achievers by the Connecticut Law Tribune. For her leadership within the Greater Hartford Community, Ms. Bucin has been honored as a “40 Under Forty†award recipient by the Hartford Business Journal in 2009.
Ms. Bucin is admitted to the bar in the State of Connecticut, State of New York and the District of Columbia. She received her J.D. from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University.
