In 2002, Campbell was named a “New Leader of Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune newspaper for his contributions to the development of the law. In November of 2004, Campbell was selected as a James W. Cooper Fellow by the Connecticut Bar Foundation. Selection as a Fellow requires demonstrated superior legal ability and devotion to the welfare of the community, state and nation, as well as to the advancement of the legal profession.

Campbell is the co-author (with Donald Cantor, Esq., Elizabeth Cantor, Ph.D., and James Black, M.D.) of Same Sex Marriage: The Legal and Psychological Evolution in America.
